The Margaree Irish

Other than “The Brief Family History” by Judge Coady, most of this material comes from the Beaton Institute of Cape Breton Studies in Sydney. It is a series of articles and reports that outline the early days of our ancestors when they arrived in Canada to settle the Margaree area of Cape Breton. “Margaree Irish Pioneer History” specifically mentions the four Coady brothers, from who we decend as does the “Families in Detail Article”. The rest of the material gives you some idea of the life lived back in those times.
